She has been dating Iwanaga (Arata Iura) whom she met at work a long time ago. Iwanaga is a married man. His wife has become a vegetative state and has been bedridden all year round. The gentleness of the woman's relatives prevents him from leaving. His desire for love and freedom has kept him in an unlucky relationship with Terako for many years / with no results in sight. Terako / who has an extremely monotonous social circle / once had a good friend named Shiori (played by Mitsuki Tanimura). After Shiori graduated / she stayed at a friend's house repeatedly. Later / she engaged in a strange business of accompanying others to sleep / but in the end she committed suicide for unknown reasons / which left Terako puzzled. Guilt / embarrassment / longing / exhaustion / Terako and Iwanaga barely maintained their current relationship / and unknowingly she lost her way in her sleep... This film is adapted from the short story of the same name published by Banana Yoshimoto in 1989. Together with "Night Traveler" and "An Experience" / it is called the "Sleep Trilogy".
