Daniel Kaluuya ("Get Out", "Black Panther") will star in Universal's new film "Queen Slim", which is scheduled to be released in North America on November 27, 2019, with filming starting in January next year. The film is a complex drama about a black man and woman, "Queen" and "Skinny", who were stopped by the police while driving on their first date. The subsequent development was different from "Get Out": the two killed the policeman in self-defense, and then did not surrender, but fled together. I hope to explore American society and politics through this love story. The heroine Queen is currently casting and plans to use new faces. "Master of None" and "Ready Player One" writer Lena Weiss wrote the script, and her "Master of None" director partner Melina Matsoukas directed the film. This is also the latter's first time directing a film. The script is based on a version of the script written by James Frey, the author of "A Million Pieces" and controversial writer, and is funded by the new film company Makeready.
