The Soul on the Leather Rope

"Soul on a Leather Rope" is adapted from two short stories by Tashi Dawa, a representative writer of Chinese magical realism: "Tibet, Soul Tie on a Leather Rope Knot" and "On the Road to Lhasa". The film tells the story of a hunter who was burdened with original sin and vengeance and came back from the dead. With the guidance of the living Buddha, he conquered his inner demons along the way and finally escorted the sacred Dzi beads into the palm of Padmasambhava.
