The Vortex of Truth

Alvin (played by Guy Pearce) is a highly respected university professor with a very virtuous wife. Whether it is family life or career, Alvin is undoubtedly a role model in the eyes of friends around him. But in fact, Ivan is a gentle scum, and he has entangled and ambiguous relationships with many of his female students. One day, a girl named Joyce (Odeya Rush) died mysteriously. She was Alvin's student. Joyce's death soon attracted the attention of detective Malloy (Pierce Brosnan). As the investigation deepened, various clues pointed the suspect's target to Ivan.
