The Color of Pomegranate

The film is partly based on the life of the 18th-century Armenian poet Savat Nova, but more of it replaces the image of the poet with verses. There is almost no dialogue in the whole film, mainly narration and the characters talking to themselves. There are no words to sum up what the film is about, and everyone has the right to interpret it in their own way. The film is a wonderful moment almost from the beginning to the end. The poetic language of the film, the bright colors, the peculiar balance of the composition, the sense of ritual and religion in the content, and the traditional national culture displayed all give the film an extraordinary and unique quality. Film review: It is basically a ridiculous idea to try to summarize the content of this film in words, and we who do not know much about Armenian traditional culture and religion cannot even fully express the meaning provided by even one detail. But for such an outstanding film with a distinctive and outstanding style, if some friends miss it because it cannot be described, then it is an unshirkable responsibility for our daily film review column.
