Broken City

Billy Targett (played by Mark Wahlberg) is a respected New York policeman. However, during a pursuit of a murderer, the latter died. The final result of the trial was tampered with in private, and the prisoner was deemed to have acted in self-defense. Target, who was called a "hero" by the citizens, was forced to leave the police station. Seven years later, Target reappeared as a private detective. However, the market was sluggish and on the verge of bankruptcy, Mayor Hostetler (played by Russell Crowe) approached him and asked him to help find out the lover of his wife Catherine (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones). However, after the incident was completed, Target gradually discovered that the incident was not as simple as it seemed. The political interests, money transactions and body sales hidden behind it shrouded the broken city of New York like a shady curtain, and even his unjust case seven years ago was involved...
