Hutong Symphony

This story is based on the canal culture. Through a pair of year-old friends who are half a century apart in age, they accidentally live under the same roof. Due to the huge contrast and contradictions between the old and the new in terms of cultural background, era differences, personality habits and ways of thinking, one old and one young are on the road to realizing their dreams. Every friction promotes the two parties' understanding of each other. Each integration further deepens the relationship between the two people, and ultimately they accept, harmonize, help and cooperate with each other. In a life full of excitement, laughter and tears, it uses history and the perspective of the future to reflect how every ordinary Chinese lives under the wave of China's new era, how to protect our own ancient culture, and convey and export the Chinese dream to the world. This is a movie about growing up and searching for the inner world. The story conveys to the audience the pursuit of truth, goodness and beauty in life, and also praises the inspiration given to us by the Grand Canal that continues to flow on the land of China and is running to this day: a good canal leads to a prosperous country.
