Hard Work Train

In the 1980s, Kitamachi Kanta (Mirai Moriyama), a 19-year-old young man with a gloomy childhood, lived a decadent and hopeless life. He dropped out of school at an early age, ran away from home, had a surly personality, had low self-esteem and was shameless. He told all kinds of lies and owed his rent. All the money he earned through hard work was squandered in sleazy places. Reading was probably his only hobby. In the factory, he became friends with the handsome and smart newcomer Kusakabe Shoji (played by Kora Kengo). Although his background was completely different, the self-isolated Kanto somewhat appreciated the beauty of friendship. With Shoji's support, Kanta also plucked up the courage to propose a relationship request to Sakurai Yasuko (Maeda Atsuko), a bookstore girl he has always admired. Three young men and women crossed the barriers and had fun and laughed. Under the hazy sky, the brief beauty of youth... This film is adapted from Kenta Nishimura's autobiographical novel and won the fifth place in the top ten films of the 2012 Film Weekly.
