Brave Youth

This film is based on the true story of Marilyn Bell (played by Caroline Dhavernas). Marilyn Bell was a 16-year-old competitive swimmer who was trying to become the first person to swim across Lake Ontario. But at that time, there was Florence Chadwick, a top swimmer in the United States, who competed with her for first place in this special swimming marathon. Because Florence Chadwick has experienced many battles, most people think she will win the final victory. But unexpectedly, because Florence Chadwick underestimated the difficulty of the journey, she withdrew from the competition, while Marilyn Bell persisted until the end and eventually became the first person to cross Lake Ontario.
