Heroic Tribulation

The Republic of China period. Four drunkards in the capital, Zhao Daman (Jiang Wu), Qian Erbao (Liu Yunlong), Sun Sanqiang (Zhang Yue) and Li Biao (He Bing), witnessed the murder of a progressive intellectual and his daughter on the street. They were angry and killed the murderer, causing great trouble - the deceased was the only son of the traitor Jiang Shiqi in the capital. When the four of them were escaping from the Jiang family's thugs, they unexpectedly received banknotes and a topographic map of the Jiang family from the manager of the Jiang family (Ren Ming). Although they did not understand its purpose, they decided to kill Jiang Shiqi immediately. At the moment of the action, Zhao Biao learned that his wife and child had been kidnapped by Jiang Shiqi, and came to Jiang's house alone and was imprisoned. Zhao Daman, in extreme panic, hid in a small shop and was taken in by the romantic proprietress. Qian Erbao and Zhang Sanqiang couldn't wait for their brothers to look back, and met the Jiang family's thugs again. In a desperate situation, they were rescued by Jiang Shiqi's disciple Ouyang Jiedan (Yuan Yin), and then they realized the intention of the Jiang family manager.
