Paul Camp (Johnny Depp) As a frustrated New York writer, he came to Puerto Rico to work as a reporter for a sluggish newspaper and lived a life of dreams and dreams. He meets the sexy and beautiful Chenault (Amber Heard) in the hotel and is immediately attracted to her. Real estate tycoon Sanderson (Aaron Eckhart) hired Kemp to write advertisements and provided him with abundant money and materials. Kemp discovered that Chenault was actually the boss's woman, but he still fell in love with her uncontrollably. Sanderson arranged for Kemp to accompany Chenault, but Kemp withstood the temptation of beauty and refused to elope with her. They came to an island to inspect real estate. At a cocktail party, a drunken Chenault danced with a local man, making Sanderson furious. The next day, Sanderson announced the end of his relationship with Kemp and kicked Chenault out of the house. Camp took Chenault in and was determined to write the inside story of the dark dealings in the Sanderson estate, but the publisher refused to publish it. He and his friends made a lot of money fighting cocks at the market. When they came back with the money and prepared to print the manuscript themselves, they found that the publishing house had been auctioned off and the building was empty.
