Blue Windbreaker

The film tells the story of Youke, a Cameroonian travel photography enthusiast, who came to Sichuan, China, with a longing for China's strange mountains and rivers. During the trip, he happened to meet Hou Fangjie, a disabled village doctor in Yingshan. He became very interested in this "old man in windbreaker" who was running on the mountain paths, and was gradually attracted by him. This 70-year-old country doctor on crutches attracted me. While he was amazed by the exquisite medical skills of the old Chinese medicine doctor, he also developed a deep respect for him. Later, he studied medicine under Hou Fangjie and discovered Hou Fangjie’s touching stories of helping left-behind children, empty-nesters, and poor people.
