Blood Ties

Mark Webber writes, directs and stars, based on real life events, and shoots in a realistic and surreal style. As a creator and actor, he performed a film that blurred reality documentary and fictional story. The film tells the story of Mark, a gang member who has just been released from prison and has nowhere to go but to return to his mother's home in Philadelphia. In addition to her mother, she also has a teenage brother with Asperger's syndrome. This kind of autism makes people immersed in their own world and has difficulty communicating with the outside world. As Mark tries to rebuild his life, he struggles with his past, straining his relationship with his activist mother and preventing him from communicating better with his younger brother. But his father who abandoned his wife and son always influenced him deep in his heart, making him move in a direction he didn't want to go. An out-of-control family is about to appear again. Every quarrel makes the family irreparably broken. What should Mark do?
