Seobon-jeong

Pansori (Korean a cappella) Seobeon-jeong singer Yu Ben (played by Kim Myung-kun) wanders into a wilderness mountain village with his adopted daughter Songhua (Oh Jung-hae), and falls in love with a widowed mother. In order to avoid others' gossip, Yu Ben took his lover, Songhua and his lover's son Donghao (Kim Kyu-chul) away from home. The homeless life caused his widowed mother to pass away prematurely. Yu Ben devoted all his efforts to his two children, determined to train them to become outstanding a cappella singers. Affected by foreign cultures, the art of a cappella singing has gradually been despised by the world. Donghao couldn't bear the poor and wandering life, so he left without saying goodbye one day. Yu Ben poisoned his adopted daughter's eyes, hoping that she would concentrate on her craft. Many years later, Yu Ben passed away, Song Hua wandered away from home, and Dong Hao followed his sister's footsteps to find the joy and happiness that had been lost in his life...
