In Memory of You

Hirose Yumi (played by Goto Kumiko) was diagnosed with leukemia and has only half a year left to live. In order to allow Yumi to live a happy life, her mother Tomoko (played by Yoshiko Mita) asks Akira Kamijou (played by Toru Nakamura), a college man whom Yumi admires very much, in the hope that he can accompany Yumi as a lover. When summer came, Yumi, whose condition had been stable, fainted in school. At this time, Kamijou happened not to be beside her. After that, Yumi took a break from school and decided to go to Karuizawa for recuperation. Kamijou, who originally just wanted to complete the task, gradually fell in love with this poor innocent girl while getting along with Yumi. However, this relationship was destined to be hopeless and had to be judged by death.
