Temptation 1948

The father of Hitomi Takako (played by Setsuko Hara) passes away. When Takako is mourning at the grave, he encounters his father's protégé and married man Yajima Takayoshi (played by Toshinobu Sabeki) who comes to express his condolences. The two had known each other for a long time and returned to Tokyo together. On the way, the filial son cried and complained that he was living a troubled life after his father passed away, so Longji invited her to work as a servant in his home. After Longji's repeated persuasion, the dutiful son agreed. Takayoshi's wife (played by Haruko Sugimura) is seriously ill and can only live in a nursing home. All kinds of chores at home are done by his filial son. Longji's children like this new aunt, and the love between the dutiful son and Longji becomes increasingly deep...
