Domanjiang

The movie "Domanjiang" describes the story of a young North Korean defector who smuggled across the Tumen River from North Korea to a small border village in China (Xintian Village, Jiangyan Township, Tumen City, Jilin Province). The Douman River, known as the Tumen River in China, is located on the border between China and North Korea. The protagonist of the film is Chang Hao, a 12-year-old boy. He has a mute sister Soon Hee, an elderly grandfather, and a mother who earns money in South Korea. His father died in the Doman River while trying to save his sister who fell into the water. Chang Hao became friends with Zheng Zhen, a North Korean boy who came across the river and loved football.
