The Master of Lies

Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen will star in New Line's feature film "The Good Liar" (tentative translation). The film will be directed by Bill Condon, whose most recent work is "Beauty and the Beast," which grossed $1.2 billion worldwide. In the film, Sir Ian plays a professional conman who can't believe his luck when he meets a wealthy widow played by Helen Mirren. The widow opened her life and home to the swindler, but the swindler discovered that he really cared about her, turning the deal that was supposed to be withdrawn after the swindle into a dangerous tightrope-walking relationship.
