Betty's Promise

In a small town in Wales, Betty, a housewife, and Boris, a funeral director, did not want to face the fruitless relationship between them because Betty married the sleazy mayor, although their marriage was already in name only. The days passed slowly day by day until the mayor's mother suffocated and died. Due to the funeral arrangements, Boris and Betty were finally reunited. This time the two decided to be loyal to their inner feelings, but did not want to cause any chaos, so they planned to have Betty fake her death and then elope together on a luxury cruise to a small island in the South Pacific. But the situation becomes doubly complicated when the mayor and his mistress Meredith plan to kill Betty in order to inherit her vast fortune and insurance money. Meanwhile, Frank Featherby wants to monopolize the town's funeral industry with an exaggerated casino-style style, complete with tap dancing performances, glittering sequin decorations, and buy-two-get-one-free deals.
