Out of Africa

Karen (played by Meryl Streep) is a vain rich girl. In order to get the title of baroness, she left her native Denmark to marry in Kenya, East Africa. However, the title of baroness did not bring Karen a happy married life. Fortunately, in that vast land, Karen could often go hunting and exploring, and she gradually fell in love with this magical land. During a hunting adventure, Karen meets the young British aristocrat Dennis (Robert Redford). After her marriage broke up and her husband ran away, Karen independently took on the task of running the manor. During the labor process, Karen gradually developed a deep friendship with the servants on the plantation, and her relationship with Dennis also seemed to have progressed. However, the god of fate did not make things smooth for Karen. A fire forced her to sell the manor to ease her financial constraints. Later, the accidental death of Dennis while flying gave her another heavy blow. After experiencing the trials of life, Karen finally bid farewell to the land where she shed her youth and passion... The film won the 58th Oscar in 1986, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Improvement.
