Running to Beijing

The story of the film focuses on a young man named Sha Yang who is extremely talented in running in a poor mountainous area. By chance, he became associated with the city. In a sports academy in Beijing, the national youth long-distance runners' trials are about to begin. Shayang, a young athlete selected from a poor mountainous area, stood on the starting line with everyone. As the referee fired a gunshot, a group of twelve to fifteen-year-old boys started running on their slender legs. Sneakers are flying, city buildings are flashing behind them, and crowds of people on the roadside are cheering. As Shayang ran, the sneakers under his feet disappeared and turned into a pair of bare feet. There was no longer a smooth asphalt road under his feet, but a bumpy and rugged path. A slender, naughty-looking child passed through a group of middle school classmates like the wind. He threw off his bare feet and ran across the pass without a trace. His classmate Erhua asked Shahu, why is he running so fast? Shahu replied that Shayang was hungry and wanted to run home early for dinner. Shayang's home is eight kilometers away from the middle school in the town. The parents of the children whose family situation is better will let them live in the school.
