Passing Zhaoguan

During the summer vacation, seven-year-old Ningning was sent back to the countryside to be taken care of by his grandfather Li Fuchang, who was in his seventies. Li Fuchang accidentally got the contact information of an old friend who had suffered a stroke and was running out of time. He decided to take his grandson with him and ride a motorcycle tricycle to visit his old friend thousands of miles away. The film uses "crossing Zhaoguan" as a metaphor for life, and is a rare Chinese rural road movie.
