Synopsis

Evil | | The first of Gui Zhihong's "evil" trilogy. In the early years of the Republic of China, the Chen family in Xiguan, Guangzhou was in decline, leaving only Chen Xiuying (Tian Ni), her husband Yang Zhenyu (Wang Rong) and the maid who served Xiuying. Xiuying is frail and sick, and will cough continuously if she moves around for a moment. Zhenyu is a gambler and alcoholic.
