The Secret of Moonfield

Maria (Dakota Blue Richards) )'s father was heavily in debt. After his death, he only left her a thick ancient book "The History of Moon Ping", which recorded the fairy tale of the Moon Princess and the White Horse. Thirteen-year-old Maria became an orphan and came to Moon Flat Manor to seek refuge with her uncle Benjamin (Ioan Gruffudd). However, not long after she moved into the castle, Maria discovered that strange things happened one after another: her things were always scattered everywhere, the piano in the house would play automatically, and there was even the shadow of a white horse wandering outside the house at night... However, her uncle refused to reveal a word about these questions, and Maria Leah had no choice but to secretly read the ancient book hidden by her uncle, and finally learned about a long-standing mysterious past and grudges on the Moon Flat. It turned out that the entire valley had been shrouded in the Moon Princess's curse for hundreds of years, and she could only wait for a curse-breaker with a pure heart to appear... The film is adapted from the classic novel "The Moon Princess in the Castle" by British children's literature writer Elizabeth Goudge.
