Mayerling

Rudolf (played by Omar Sharif) is a noble prince who lives with his father Joseph I (James Mason). Under the arbitrary and tyrannical rule of his father, and under the pressure of his father, he even married a woman he didn't love at all, but who was a well-matched woman. In order to dispel the resentment in his heart, Rudolf went out to the sub-market incognito and met a beautiful girl named Mary (Catherine Deneuve). Mary's every smile deeply touched Rudolf's heart, and he experienced the taste of love for the first time. Rudolf tried his best to marry Mary, but to no avail. So Rudolf decided to elope with Mary, and the two hid in a hunter's cabin deep in the forest. They agreed to spend a sweet night together, and then both died in love in the morning sun the next day.
