In a small town, Maddie adopted a boy named Francis, but her husband and mother-in-law did not agree with her approach and thought the boy was suspicious. When he grew up, Francis left the farm at the instigation of his girlfriend, but eventually he decided to return to the town and bravely embrace his new life.
