Tashi and Yangjin get along day and night and love each other. One day, the serf owner Mrs. Zhuma was riding a horse. The horse was frightened and suddenly ran wildly. At this critical moment, Tashi took the risk to save Mrs. Zhuma. For this reason, Zhuma promised to let them get married after Tashi Tiyangjin paid off his debt. However, Langse Living Buddha tried to occupy Yangjin. He gouged out Tashi's left eye on the grounds that the combination of Yangjin and Tashi was contrary to God's will. Yangjin swore to die and refused to obey Langse, so she was thrown into the Yarlung Zangbo River, leaving behind her and Tashi's twin daughters who were born shortly after birth. The elder sister was named Dawa and the younger sister was named Nyima. In order to hide it from their master, Tashi raised them in the name of "uncle". In 1957, a small group of upper-class reactionaries in Tibet prepared to rebel. By then, Dawa and Nyima were already eighteen years old.
