Han Yuniang

The Pingju opera film "Han Yuniang" is co-directed by the famous directors Li Qiankuan and Xiao Guiyun. The Pingju opera "Han Yuniang" was adapted by Li Ruihuan, former member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and former Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, from the Mei School Peking Opera "Hate of Life and Death". It tells a folk story from the Song Dynasty, which not only expresses women's steadfastness in love but also their patriotism. This time, it is a new breakthrough to put the art of Pingju Opera in the movie. "Han Yuniang" is jointly produced by Tianjin Pingju Baipai Troupe, Northern Film Group, and Tianjin Binhai International Film Co., Ltd. The film describes Han Yuniang and Cheng Pengju, common people in the late Northern Song Dynasty, who were kidnapped as slaves by the Jin Dynasty during the war, and unexpectedly reunited in the midst of hardship. After the wedding, the woman urged her husband to return to her homeland to fight against the enemy, but Cheng Pengju worried that Han Yuniang was a spy sent by the Jin State and deliberately reported her. As a result, she was sold to others as a concubine and suffered all kinds of torture and suffering. Cheng Pengju later learned the truth about Yuniang's patriotic act of persuading him to return to the country. He sent people to search for her many times and finally found Han Yuniang. Unexpectedly, when the seriously ill woman saw her husband Cheng Pengju, whom she had longed for for many years, she was already seriously ill and dying. After explaining her posthumous affairs, she closed her eyes and died. The Pingju opera film "Han Yuniang" won the "WeLink International Film Festival" Best Art Film Outstanding Contribution Award.
