The Merry Wives

"The Romance" is adapted from a real court case that took place in 1782, involving adultery, gossip, voyeurism and other popular events at the time. Natalie Dormer plays Lady Seymour Worsley, a woman who shocked England in the 18th century with her debauched deeds. She had a total of 27 lovers, and eloped with one of them. What is even more surprising is that her husband not only acquiesced in these men, but even liked to peek through the keyhole to have sex; what kind of story is behind such a shocking woman, we can only find out in the play.
