Gremlins

When a rich man passes away, he donates most of his property to various charities, leaving only a villa in Maine to his domineering stepdaughter Kerrigan Crittenton (Cathy Moriarty). This villa called Vips Manor has a long history, but it is now dilapidated and uninhabitable. Kerrigan was furious at first, but she accidentally learned that gold and silver treasures might be hidden in the villa, so she and lawyer Tibbs (played by Eric Idle) happily went there. What they didn't expect was that there were four ghosts living here. With the treasure in sight, greedy people try their best to drive away the ghost... The film won the 1996 American Science Fiction and Horror Film Academy Best Performance by a Young Actor (Christina Ricci) and the 1996 Young Artist Award for Best Performance (Voiceover) (Malachi Pearson).
