Synopsis
15-year-old Mia (Katie Jarvis Katie Jarvis) has a rebellious and eccentric personality. When she makes trouble, she is not only expelled from school but even her best friend leaves her. Mia loves to dance, but not many people around her seem to care about her passionate dance steps, until a man named Connor (Michael Fassbender) appears. Connor is her mother's boyfriend. During the days when he lived with her mother, Mia was attracted to this handsome and friendly man. With Connor's support and encouragement, Mia got a chance to audition for a dance, and her relationship with Connor took a step closer. However, the real world is not as beautiful as imagined... This film is directed by Andrea Arnold, a new British female director who won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006 for "The Red Road". It is her second feature film.
