The Singing of Birds

"Three Kings Come to Court" tells the story of the three kings who came to worship the birthplace of Jesus. However, the movie does not praise this story, but uses a very flat method to describe it. The three kings are just ordinary people. Most of the time it describes their painstaking efforts to find the birthplace of Jesus and the problems they encountered. The biggest problem is getting lost in the mountains and forests and finding the way. Among the many new star directors in recent years, Spanish Catalan director Albert Serra is considered a more controversial one. Because his films are so simple, even crude, even though many people highly praise them (for example, the French "Cinema Notes" selected the director's last film "Honour of the Knights" (Don Quixote) [2006] as the seventh best film in 2007), some people question that he is just taking advantage of the current trend of art films dominated by slow and long shots to make pieces of The King's New Clothes.
