Wings of the Kirin Shinsei The Movie

One night, next to the Kirin statue in Nihonbashi, known as the starting point of Tokyo, a man staggered and fell and eventually bled to death. The deceased's name was Takeaki Aoyagi (played by Kiichi Nakai), and he was the head of Kanazaki Metal Manufacturing Company. What puzzled the police was that Aoyagi did not call an ambulance immediately when he was stabbed in the abdomen, but instead walked patiently for eight minutes. On the same night, unemployed young man Fuyuki Yashima (played by Takahiro Miura) was hit by a truck and seriously injured, leaving him unconscious. Because he was holding Aoyagi's briefcase, the police regarded Yashima as an important suspect. Various doubts about this case have made detective Kyouichiro Kaga (played by Hiroshi Abe) of Nihombashi Police Station think. Not only did he visit Aoyagi's family and Yashima's live-in girlfriend Kaori Nakahara (played by Yui Aragaki), he also tried to focus on Aoyagi's life near Nihonbashi before his death. Various mysteries and emotional entanglements gradually surfaced... This film is adapted from the "Wings of the Kirin" series, which the famous mystery novelist Keigo Higashino claims to be the "highest masterpiece" in the series.
