The Golden Compass

The story takes place in a world very similar to our earth, where people's souls become spiritual gods to follow them. Leila (Dakota Blue Richards) has lived with her uncle, the president of the University of Jordan, since she was a child. She is passionate, brave and righteous. One day Mrs. Colter (nicole kidman) is going north and hopes that Lila can accompany her. Curious Lila happily agreed. Before she left, her uncle gave her a golden compass and told her that there was only one person in the world who could read it. From the Golden Compass, Lila not only got answers to the questions she asked, but also learned the mystery of her own life experience. Along the way, Mrs. Colter behaves strangely, and Lila also finds that the name of her missing friend Roger is written clearly on a list of Mrs. Colter's!
