Netflix has acquired the global distribution rights to the thriller "Windfall" (tentative translation) starring Jason Segel, Lily Collins, and Jesse Plemons. It is reported that the transaction value is as high as 8-digit US dollars. The film is directed by Lily's fiancé Charlie McDowell, with McDowell and Siegel creating the story, and Justin Ryder ("I Love You") and Andrew Kevin Walker ("Seven Deadly Sins") co-writing the script. The film is a Hitchcockian thriller about a young couple who arrive at their vacation home only to find that it has been ransacked. The film wrapped earlier this year.
