The World in Black and White

The story takes place in Beijing before liberation. The leader of the beggar gang, Niu Erye (played by Han Shanxu), leads a gang of thugs around the market all day long. Sun Douzhi (played by Liang Qinggang) does not respect Niu Er, and the doujiu stall is destroyed by Niu Er. His son Sun Liu (played by Wu Weidong) is full of blood, and he must fight for Niu Er. Shopkeeper Liu and Sun Liu of the barbecue shop fall in love with Li Shuying (played by Wu Weiling), the daughter of Li Wobo (played by Wang Ningsheng). However, Sun Liu and Sun Liu have little ambition and have no choice but to join the Beggar Gang and rely on Niu Er's power to deal with Shopkeeper Liu.
