Blackbird

This film is adapted from the novel of the same name and tells the story of a boy's sexual awakening. Randy, a 17-year-old black boy, is the cantor of the school choir and grew up in a devoutly religious southern family. The family has been torn apart by the disappearance of his sister, and Randy has to deal with frequent and unexpected homosexual fantasies. He and his school drama club buddies decided to stage a male version of "Romeo and Juliet". At the same time, the white boy Marshall also happened to break into Randy's life and launched a strong pursuit of him. Randy found it increasingly difficult to adapt to the transition from adolescence to adulthood, and more importantly, he began to lose sight of the boundaries between fantasy and reality...
