Shining Red Star 1974

The story takes place in the Jiangxi Soviet Area after the Red Army left the Long March. The father of young Pan Dongzi (played by Zhu Xinyun) responded to the call and joined the Red Army to fight against the enemy, leaving only his mother and Dongzi to depend on each other. Her mother was also an activist in the fight against the enemy. Although Dongzi was only 11 years old, she was determined to join the Red Army to fight against the Japanese army when she grew up. One day, the reactionary landlord Hu Hansan came to arrest Dongzi's mother. Seeing the critical situation, Dongzi's mother decided to stay and cover the retreat of other people. After throwing two grenades and killing many enemies, Dongzi's mother also died heroically. Witnessing the tragic situation of her mother being killed by the enemy, Dongzi determined to use her own power to avenge her mother. Dongzi began to use his wit and bravery to deal with the enemy, secretly helping the local guerrillas deliver salt and letters. Through fighting against the enemy, Dongzi gradually grew up, and the time to avenge his mother finally came.
