Railway Guerrillas

During the Anti-Japanese War, a guerrilla group was active on the railway lines in Lincheng and Zaozhuang in southern Shandong. Under the leadership of captain Liu Hong (Cao Huiqu) and political commissar Li Zheng (Feng Qi), the members cooperated with the main force and dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese army. They were affectionately called the "Flying Tigers" by the local people. The Japanese army tried every means to sneak attack on the "Flying Tigers" and eventually injured Liu Hong, but Liu Hong was able to be taken care of by the widow Fang Linsao (Qin Yi) and they became a couple. After Liu Hong recovered from his injuries, he cooperated with Li Zheng to command the battle and defeated the Japanese army. The Japanese army became angry and wanted to anger Liu Hong with wanton killings. Liu Hong fell into the trap and prepared for a head-on confrontation with the Japanese army at Weishan Lake. Fortunately, Li Zheng dissuaded him in time, and the strength of the "Flying Tigers" was preserved. The renovated "Flying Tigers" annihilated all Japanese troops along the route, but Fang Lin's wife was arrested while performing a reconnaissance mission.
