Synopsis
The story takes place in France in the 17th century. Cardinal Richelieu (played by Charlton Heston) wants to seek power and usurp the throne, and has set up numerous conspiracies. D'Artagnan (Michael York) wanted to serve his motherland, so he went to Paris to join the Musketeers. In the process, d'Artagnan met Athos (Oliver Reed), Porthos (Frank Finlay) and Aramis (Richard Chamberlain). The four of them had never known each other and became close friends. By chance, D'Artagnan learned of Richelieu's conspiracy. In order to eliminate the root cause, Richelieu designed D'Artagnan to be sentenced to death. Fortunately, he was rescued by three musketeers, and D'Artagnan recovered his life. Afterwards, the four rescued the king from the assassin's gun and declared war on Richelieu, who kidnapped the king and queen.
