The Three Heroes of the East

Dongdong (played by Anita Mui) and Xinjing (played by Michelle Yeoh) were adopted by martial arts masters when they were young. They were taught martial arts in the hope that they would become heroes when they grow up. They are both orphans and they love each other like sisters. Unexpectedly, Xinjing was kidnapped when she was 12 years old and has not been heard from since. When Dongdong grew up, he married police officer Liu Qiwen (played by Liu Songren) and became a good wife and mother after giving birth to a daughter. She kept her identity hidden from her family for years, which caused the couple to become estranged. Back then, Xinjing was kidnapped by Eunuch Chen, the eunuch of the Qing Dynasty. He used venom to wash away her memory and then used her good skills to do bad things. Chen Qi (played by Maggie Cheung) is also a subordinate of her father-in-law. She is unruly by nature. She was not deeply poisoned and her memory soon recovered. Like Dongdong, she has a sense of justice but regards money as her life. The three met in a battle to steal a baby, but their sense of justice in their hearts turned their originally antagonistic roles into a consistent direction, dealing with female warriors who endanger public lives.
