Eight-Power Allied Forces

A piece of modern Chinese history that is unbearable to look back on, narrated by the great director Zhang Che. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the political situation was corrupt and the people were in dire straits. The Empress Dowager Cixi and a group of ignorant powerful ministers not only had no ability to resist the invasion of foreign powers and protect the people, but they were superstitious about swallowing talismans and chanting curses. They claimed that the invincible "Boxer Rebellion" could resist foreigners and decided to declare war on the foreign powers. As a result, the Eight-Power Allied Forces captured Beijing, and Empress Dowager Cixi fled in panic. The film was shot on location in Taiwan, with huge war scenes and a cast of diamond-level actors, including "evergreen movie star" Li Lihua as the Empress Dowager Cixi, "Kung Fu Boy" Fu Sheng as the invulnerable "Boxer" hero Zeng Xianhan, sexy beauty Hu Jin as a generation of famous prostitute Sai Jinhua, and popular singer Jenny Yen as Sai Jinhua's step-sister Xiaoju, writing a tragic song about the aspirations of a group of heroic children.
