Dororo

In the middle of the Muromachi era in Japan, the prestige of the shogunate in power decreased sharply. The ambitious Daigo Kagemitsu (played by Nakai Kiichi) sacrificed his unborn son Hyakkimaru to 48 demons in order to achieve hegemony. He made an agreement with the monsters and took away 48 organs including eyes, ears, mouth, nose, etc. Hyakkimaru, who was missing his body parts when he was born, was thrown into the river. He was later rescued by his adoptive doctor (Yoshio Harada), who made him prosthetic eyes and limbs to make up for his missing parts. He was named Hyakkimaru (played by Satoshi Tsumabuki) and raised him. In order to get rid of his cursed fate and regain every part of his body, Hyakkimaru declared war on the 48 demons who possessed his organs, and left home to embark on a journey of war. On the journey to find the devil, Hyakkimaru meets Dororo (played by Yuki Shibasaki), a self-proclaimed "rogue". In order to get the sword in Hyakkimaru's hand, Dororo follows him on the journey.
