My Tang Dynasty Brothers

In a certain year of the prosperous Tang Dynasty, two thieves came to the Bamboo Forest located among the barren mountains. They are Xue Shisan (played by Hu Jun) who is good at archery and Chen Liu (played by Jiang Wu) who is reckless and cheerful. The two settled at the home of villager Ma Qi, and at the same time three officers and soldiers also came to the village. One of the officers and soldiers wanted to do something evil to Ma Qi's daughter Luo Niang (played by Wang Xiao). Xue and Chen came to help and killed both officers and soldiers. In the village, Li Zheng (played by Li Liqun) abides by the laws of the Tang Dynasty, but arrests the two and prepares to appear before the official. The next day, a group of officers and soldiers came to arrest the thieves and violently attacked the villagers.
