Bender: The Beginning

The prequel story of Ostap Bender, the liar protagonist in the novel "12 Chairs". 1919. Fate pits the young idealist Osho against the Turkish subject and conman Ibrahim Bend. The righteous Osho would never have been associated with such an unscrupulous and cunning con man, unless they were brought together by an extremely dangerous adventure - the hunt for a relic of the king, a precious magic wand, for which the local bandits and White Army officers couldn't care less. In a series of dizzying adventures, Osho is forced to learn from Ibrahim charming flattery, subtle deception, seductive blackmail, and... savage power.
