In 1917, Liujia Village in the southwest border of China. Liu Jinxi (played by Donnie Yen) and his wife Ayu (played by Tang Wei) jointly raise their two sons Fang Zheng and Xiaotian, and their life is ordinary and happy. Until one day, two uninvited guests broke the peace of Liujia Village and destroyed the life of Jin happy's family. The two men attempted to rob the village's cash box, but were bumped into by Jin happy who happened to be there. After a chaotic fight, the two gangsters were beaten to death by Jin happy inexplicably.
