Although they have been baptized by bullets, the lone hero John McClane (played by Bruce Willis) and his son Jack (played by Jai Courtney) are still like ordinary father and son, with a deep and insurmountable gap. After losing contact for many years, John finally got news about his son, but found that Jack was imprisoned in Moscow on multiple charges and faced the threat of death.
