The Circus Kid

In the 1930s, the Shanghai Changfu Circus, famous for its trapeze act, was touring around. During this period, there were constant problems. It was thanks to the concerted efforts of the head Master Shen (Wu Ma) and his apprentices and daughters to overcome one difficulty after another. During a performance, Japanese planes dropped bombs and destroyed all the circus facilities. Although the members of the group escaped by chance, the national crisis hit them and they had to go their separate ways. Master Shen took his eldest daughter Ding Mei (played by Li Lili), second daughter Ding Lan (played by Wen Bixia), third daughter Ding Ju (played by Hu Yingwen), eldest son-in-law Yitian (played by Lin Wei) and several young apprentices to go south, preparing to join his younger brother there. The naughty apprentice Le Yidong (played by Yuan Biao) also followed. There are intact eggs under the overturned nest, and the people they rely on are also in trouble.
