In the film, Locke plays Andre Allen, who became famous for his funny talk show, made his way to Hollywood by starring in hilarious and brainless movies (dressing up as a brown bear), and is about to get married to a reality show actress. His fiancée wants their wedding to be broadcast live on her reality show, but his manager tells him that doing so will damage his image, career and lower his worth. At the same time, an interview with a New York Times reporter (Rosario Dawson) and her pointed questions such as "Why are you not funny anymore?" forced him to re-examine his past, his life and career. The two of them seemed to have different feelings for each other as they got along day and night.
