Mrs Harris Goes to Paris

The film is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Paul Gallico. It tells the story of a widowed cleaning lady (Lesley Manville) in London in the 1950s who falls madly in love with a Dior haute couture dress and decides to have one of her own. After working, starving and gambling to raise money to pursue her dream, she embarks on an adventure to Paris that will not only change her prospects, but also the future of this iconic fashion capital.
